"The Salvadori Center's GLOBE program (Guided Learning Throuh Our Built Environment) is a three-year partnership between the Center and selected New York City public schools."
The Center’s experienced teaching staff of architects, educators and engineers share their passion for the urban landscape in ways that inspire both young learners and their teachers. Our “hands on, minds on” school programs deepen content learning, span disciplines and meet rigorous curriculum standards. They increase students’ academic performance and critical thinking skills, while providing teachers with effective strategies to engage all learners.

"We immediately noted a tremendous difference in attitude towards mathematics. We began to see wonderful hands-on projects that involved the very skills in which our students were weakest. Perhaps the best symbol of success was brought to our attention by the 9th grade math teacher who asked why her new 9th grade students were so superior to the students who came to her in previous years."

Salvadori In-Depth (GLOBE)
"How would math help me when I got out there in the real world? Would circumference and area matter? That's when the educator from the Salvadori Center walked into my 8th grade classroom…I learned that math is numbers that translate into homes and offices where people live and work…The program instilled in me determination, motivation and hope."
