During our Salvadori lesson today, my group and I finished the Telephone Company. The roof was a little bit too small. It did fit, though. On our next building, I'm going to make sure we make the roof a little bigger just in case. If it's too big, we can always cut off the extra part. I think it is better too big than too small.
I can't wait until our trip tomorrow. I think it will help us a lot with our group projects.

I thought the site did not look as bad as what it had looked like during earlier times. I have not actually seen the site before in person, but I have seen it on the news. I also recall seeing a building covered in black cloth. I learned that this building, because of the terrorist attack, is home to fungus.
Outside, we saw a parade. It wasn't quite a parade, because you weren't quite excited like you are about Thanksgiving parades, but it also involved the terrorist attack. We also passed many areas that were similar to memorials. There were shrines, flowers, and signs encouraging New Yorkers to continue on with life and things like that.

Today, both sixth grade classes went to One Liberty Plaza to see the World Trade Center site. We walked there and saw many monuments made by other people who wanted to express and show their sorrow and grief inside. Pat gave a camera to each group for the project that we are working on.
Ground zero was almost cleaned up. It was all dirt and bedrock (I think). I was pretty glad I visited the site because I got to see the buildings and the site. I was thinking of all the ideas our group thought and imagined that they were placed there.
