Francis Osei’s Salvadori-based Math Lab at the John F. Kennedy Magnet School in Port Chester is one of our success stories beyond city limits. An architect-turned-math teacher, Mr. Osei has adapted Salvadori curriculum for elementary school students as part of a math, science and technology magnet program. Spend a day in Mr. Osei’s classroom and learn about his philosophy in our new School Spotlight and Teacher Feature articles.

Every year at our Summer Institute, we teach twenty-odd new teachers to use the built environment as a classroom. Experience (or recall) this year’s Institute at Community > Feature Stories > Summer Institute 2002
