Consolidated Carpet Offers Design Challenge to MS 45

On April 13, forty-four 6th to 8th graders from MS 45 (Bronx), a Salvadori GLOBE school, assisted by Salvadori Director of External Affairs Kathryn Slocum and three teachers, participated with Consolidated Carpet (which installs industrial carpets) and Bentley Prince Street (which designs them) on an Earth Day design challenge to "re-purpose" the cardboard boxes the companies use for carpet samples.

The approximately 100 re-designed boxes were filled with Salvadori supplies (tape measure, mechanical pencil, colored pencils, journal, graph paper, etc) and sent to MS 45.
