The Art of Bridge Construction: A Legacy

Over the span of its thirty-year history, the Center's educators have generated many lesson plans for classrooms, workshops, professionsal development Institutes, charrettes, after-school programs, demonstrations, and site-specific events.

Building bridges has always been a staple of Salvadori instruction, and we are now making "The Art of Bridge Construction" (originally rolled out in 2002) available for free download to use as you see fit.

We're doing this because we are moving toward a lesson plan re-design that involves selective topics and a modular format for presentation. These modules will also tie into a school's scope and sequence and conform to national standards.

We expect to role out the first of these by the fall of 2009.

Please note that these lesson plans do not represent the Center's current curriculum or practice -- they are offered as legacy documents from three decades of practice.
