The LEAD Program Professional Development Programs The OST Program Annual Charrette Make A DonationThe GLOBE program [[Guided Learning through Our Built Environment] is a three-year partnership between the Center and selected schools that can commit to integrating the Salvadori built environment-based project-based curriculum into their course of study in order to improve students' knowledge of math, science, art, language, social studies, and technology.
What a GLOBE School Gets
- Corporate and personal sponsorships of over 60% of the three-year budget
- A Salvadori educator working with teachers and students 2 days each week during the year
- Five yearly mandatory sessions of scheduled professional development
- A three-day intensive professional development summer institute on the campus of City College of New York
- Student eligibility for Salvadori college scholarships
- Access to Salvadori’s extensive cache of lesson plans and educational materials
- A stipend for a Salvadori Site Coördinator (selected from the school’s faculty)
What a GLOBE School Commits To
- Integrating the Salvadori pedagogy into its curriculum in a deep and meaningful way
- Raising 30% to 40% of the three-year budget
- Supporting child-centered project-based learning with an emphasis on making interdisciplinary connections
- Promoting the GLOBE program with staff, students, and parents
- Participating in a formal evaluation of the program
