Salvadori Center Part of New Teacher Education Initiative
The Salvadori Center will be part of the Manhattan Collaborative STEM Professional Project, a collaborative effort to improve how teachers teach science, technology, engineering, and math (or STEM). Partnering with the Center will be City College of New York, New York Institute of Technology, Key Curriculum Press, Texas Instruments, and SPEZ, Co., Inc. Over the course of three years, 290 K-12 teachers and 20 support staff will get professional training in the best practices available for teaching STEM subjects. Over the course of the grant, the Center will provide three-day summer institutes along with an asynchronous web-based lesson along with two "booster" sessions in the fall.
