Erin McCluskey has worked in design education for over ten years. She has served as the Public Education Manager at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Smithsonian Institution, and as the Executive Director of the Center for Architecture Foundation. She has also worked at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, the South Street Seaport Museum and with the Brooklyn Center for the Urban Environment. Prior to moving to New York, she was a middle and high school classroom teacher in Alameda, California. Erin holds a double BA from Beloit College in studio art and art history, and an MFA in writing from California College of the Arts. Erin is on the board of the New York City Museum Educators Roundtable and was the NYCMER President from 2008 – 2010.

Kenneth Jones, M.Arch., Executive Director
Kenn Jones started his career as a licensed architect working in New Jersey and New York City. His career as an educator paralleled his career in architecture where he taught undergraduate courses in studio art, design, and the history of art and design as well as graduate courses in non-profit management. Kenn has substantial experience with developing project-based curricula, interdisciplinary programs, and adult education/professional development. He has served as a U.S. Diplomat in the Middle East and as the Executive Director of Peters Valley Craft Education Center and the New York Foundation for Architecture; most recently he was the Curator of Education for the New Jersey State Museum. Kenn holds a M.Arch. degree from the University of Maryland and post-graduate studies in historic preservation and design as a Rotary Foundation Fellow at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Using strategic planning and creative problem solving to achieve organizational goals and objectives, Kenn ties together his experiences in education, executive management, and philanthropy ~ an approach he brings to the Salvadori Center.

David McGillan, Operations ManagerIn 1997 David received a BA with honors in Creative Writing from the University of Derby in the United Kingdom. After several years working for local government in England and a year spent traveling the world, he settled in New York and managed four city senior centers for The Caring Community from 2005 – 2010. David will graduate with a Master's in Public Administration from Baruch College in May. He received the United Way Senior Fellows award in 2009 and a Clark Foundation scholarship in 2010. He will talk to anyone about soccer. |
Roxanne Mejia, BRIDGES CoordinatorRoxanne received her BFA in Architecture from Parsons The New School for Design in 2006, and continued on to work for four years in both the design and construction industries. In June of 2010 she joined the Salvadori Staff full-time, after working as an educator for six months. Excited to have the opportunity to devote her time wholeheartedly to the Center, Roxanne's goal for the BRIDGES program is to work as a team with the other educators to perfect the curriculum, with hopes that it is not only effective but also a new and exciting way of reaching kids enrolled in the program. |
Edsel Cromwell, Fiscal OfficerEdsel has accumulated in excess of over twenty-five years of experience in government, corporate and non-profit financial accounting and management. The last sixteen of those years were spent in the non-profit sector, commencing in ‘Headstart’, after which, he held various senior level accounting positions in other non-profit agencies around the Tri-State area. In the pursuit of continuing education, he has also received in training in Audit/Taxes (advanced), Fund-raising Law and Regulation, Banking II and Tax Compliance as it relates to non-profit organizations. He also enjoys collecting and listening to jazz music. |
Janny Gédéon, Senior Architect-EducatorJanny received a BS in Architecture from City College (1995) and a Masters in Urban Planning from Hunter College (2000). With the Center since 1997, Janny has been an integral part of curriculum and program development including the creation of KidBridges and architecture clubs at a number of schools. Originally from Haiti, she is a co-founder of the Haitian Heritage Awareness Network (H2AN), promoting the preservation of Haiti's architectural treasures. |
